Saturday

Today I had an unexpectedly good day…

• I didn’t wake up to an alarm (because even though I’d set my alarm this morning, I forgot to turn the alarm on…d’oh!), which meant I got extra sleep and woke up when I was ready this morning for the first time in a verrrrrry long time!
• Went to Yatala Pies to have a chicken mornay pie, which is the greatest pie on the planet (no exaggeration!).
• We went to see our cousin’s new baby, and found that it was a fairly large family get together, the biggest since Christmas.  We got to see lots of our cousins and rello’s, and there were lots of little kids there running around, which was really cute. 
• Then, we popped our roller derby cherries! It was a great bout, and lots of fun to watch.
• Came home to a very cuddly puppy who did some very funny little runs around the house, and another big sneeze.

A great day!

Sunday

A nice relaxing day at home.  I really enjoyed cooking up a double batch of macaroni bake tonight - one for dinner, one for lunches this week!

Monday

I went for a big walk today with Bax, and had a great time…except for Bax doing a huuuge poop about 200m from home, which was about 500m from the dog park - my nail must’ve put a hole in the poop bag, which I then had to carry the remaining 500m with my poopy hand.  Funny now, not so much at the time.  Also, once we GOT to the dog park, Bax decided to do another gigantic, soft, smelly poop.  Quite the ‘crappy’ outing!  But Bax thought it was great fun, and when I asked him to show me where the poop was after I’d retreived a thicker poop bag, he did…yay!  Thank God for small mercies.

Tuesday

Today was our school’s parent-teacher interview day. I was doing interviews from 8am to 6.30pm, with only about two hours off in the middle.  I’m physically, mentally and emotionally drained.  I’m SO glad tomorrow is a public holiday (and my birthday!), so I can have a mega sleep in.  I’m actually already in bed, which must be some sort of record.

Great sleep in this morning! Very thankful for that. Also, skyped with my mum and bro, the latter of whom has just moved out of home for the first time with his girlfriend. I got to hear the answers to lots of questions I’ve had, because Mum asked them, and I didn’t want to sound like the overbearing older sister so I didn’t want to ask. He seems to be doing really well, so I’m grateful for that, too.
